About the Role

Our client is a rapidly expanding technology firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Specialist focused on Compensation and Benefits. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent in the highly competitive tech industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring our client's total rewards strategy is aligned with market trends, business objectives, and legal compliance, while also enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and administer comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, including base salary, incentives, bonuses, health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
• Conduct market research and salary surveys to ensure competitive positioning of compensation packages.
• Analyze compensation data and trends to provide recommendations for adjustments and strategy improvements.
• Manage the annual salary review process, including merit increases and incentive payouts.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations.
• Administer employee benefits programs, serving as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries.
• Collaborate with external vendors and brokers for benefits administration and negotiation.
• Develop clear and concise communication materials regarding compensation and benefits programs for employees and management.
• Partner with Finance and other departments on budget planning related to compensation and benefits.
• Contribute to the development of the overall total rewards philosophy and strategy.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CCP, CBP) is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR, with a significant focus on compensation and benefits design and administration.
• Proven experience in developing and managing executive compensation, incentive plans, and broad-based compensation structures.
• In-depth knowledge of current market trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to compensation and benefits in South Africa and potentially international markets.
• Proficiency with HRIS and specialized compensation and benefits management software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote work setting.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Experience in the technology sector is preferred but not essential.
