Job summary

Empowered Hospitality is seeking an HR consultant to act as the HR lead for multiple client projects in the NYC area. You will deliver leading HR solutions, manage day-to-day client interactions, coordinate dedicated teams, and communicate progress to clients, teams, and leadership.

Required is 5+ years in HR leadership, preferably with hospitality experience, and a strong grasp of wage & hour compliance, employee relations, training and benefits management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HR management.
• Prior experience in hospitality management preferred.
• Experience managing a high volume of time-sensitive administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with HR principles including wage & hour compliance, employee relations, training, and benefits management.
• Strong MS Office skills, business communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other related certification preferred.
• Master’s in HR or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the lead HR contact for a portfolio of clients.
• Leading your project teams to execute high-impact initiatives for your clients.
• Delivering polished, professional deliverables in a timely manner.
• Advising clients regarding employee relations, compliance, and other HR-related matters.
• Attending or leading client meetings to review project deliverables, answer questions, and discuss opportunities.
• Proactively escalating potential risks to E|H leadership.
