Empowered Hospitality is seeking an HR consultant to act as the HR lead for multiple client projects in the NYC area. You will deliver leading HR solutions, manage day-to-day client interactions, coordinate dedicated teams, and communicate progress to clients, teams, and leadership.

Required is 5+ years in HR leadership, preferably with hospitality experience, and a strong grasp of wage & hour compliance, employee relations, training and benefits management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HR management.
• Prior experience in hospitality management preferred.
• Experience managing a high volume of time-sensitive administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with HR principles including wage & hour compliance, employee relations, training, and benefits management.
• Strong MS Office skills, business communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other related certification preferred.
• Master’s in HR or related field preferred.

As an HR consultant, you will act as the HR lead for several concurrent client projects. You will be responsible for delivering leading HR solutions, managing day-to-day client interactions, coordinating the team dedicated to each client, and communicating progress to your clients, teams, and leadership. Prior experience in an autonomous HR leadership position is essential for this role, in addition to an understanding and appreciation of general business principles, strategies and tactics. You must also bring tireless curiosity, exceptional attention to detail and unblemished professional ethics and integrity to our firm.

• Prior experience in hospitality management preferred
• Experience managing a high volume of time-sensitive administrative tasks
• Familiarity with HR principles including, but not limited to, wage & hour compliance, employee relations, training, and benefits management
• Strong MS office skills, business communication, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred
