Job summary

CVS Health's Meritain Health is seeking an underwriter to work on a diversified book of business including Mid-Market and specific channels. This fully remote position offers pricing and stop loss strategy development, plus quotation responsibilities.

You will build financial projections in Excel and Salesforce, and present results to clients and partners while collaborating across teams to tailor proposals that reduce the total cost of care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in medical insurance (brokers, carriers, or TPA) and underwriting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pricing guidance and stop loss strategies to Sales and Client Management.
• Prepare and issue quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Prepare financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand impacts of custom requests.
• Manage operational data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and partners.
• Demonstrate understanding of Meritain products and services.
• Develop and participate in presentations to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Sales to determine product mix to reduce total cost of care.
• Assist sales in explaining rates/fees and underwriting policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with sales, client management and internal partners.
