Job summary

YUM! is seeking a Sr. Hardware Integration Engineer to own device integrations end‑to‑end for our Android‑based POS ecosystem.

You’ll work on POS tablets, payment terminals, printers and scanners in restaurant environments, collaborating with engineers, vendors and partners. This role emphasizes Kotlin/Java Android development, third‑party SDK integration, AI tooling usage, and cross‑functional testing across multiple hardware configurations and regions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience building robust software, including production Android development (Kotlin/Java).
• Experience integrating and working with third‑party SDKs.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across software and device interactions.
• Regular use of AI dev tooling in daily workflow, with discipline to verify output.

Responsibilities

• Own device integrations end‑to‑end for POS hardware and peripherals.
• Build and maintain Android‑based POS platform supporting printers, scanners, displays and terminals.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and partners to resolve hardware/configuration issues across regions.
• Test and validate hardware devices and SDKs; troubleshoot hardware‑related issues.
