Job summary

Yum! is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for its Byte POS platform. This remote role focuses on building consumer-facing and enterprise restaurant applications using a Kotlin-based Android stack with Jetpack Compose.

You will own features end-to-end, from design through CI/CD, in a high-volume, always-on environment. Join a team delivering a globally used POS and operations platform across leading brands like Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or related STEM field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience building robust mobile software.
• Strong Android fundamentals with Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Regular use of AI dev tooling with prudent verification of outputs.
• Willingness to own aspects of development, including CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end — design, implementation, testing and deployment (CI/CD).
• Build an Android-based POS and operations platform used by thousands of restaurants.
• Design and uphold MVVM architecture; write unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA, and brand teams.
