Job summary

Dexcom, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Enterprise Cyber Defense (ECD), unifying detection engineering, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber readiness.

You will guide a globally distributed team to elevate Dexcom's proactive defense across identity, endpoint, email, network, cloud, and enterprise environments. You will drive strategic evolution of SIEM/SOAR and automation, coordinate with Product Security, Privacy, Legal, and business stakeholders, and report cyber defense KPIs

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity/IT/engineering with 5+ years in cyber defense, detection, or incident response.
• Proven success building or scaling enterprise cyber defense capabilities.
• Strong understanding of SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EPP, NDR, email security, identity telemetry, and cloud security.
• Knowledge of adversary behaviors, threat hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK; red/purple team experience preferred.
• Experience applying automation/AI to security operations with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an Enterprise Cyber Defense strategy, operating model, and roadmap aligned to Dexcom's risk and priorities.
• Build and lead a globally distributed cyber defense organization across employees, contractors, and service providers.
• Mature a threat-informed detection engineering lifecycle translating adversary behaviors into detections.
• Lead cyber response to emerging risks with cross-functional investigation, containment, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee agentic SOC and security automation strategy with AI-assisted triage and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Establish proactive threat hunting and adversary-validation capabilities using threat intelligence and simulations.
• Own the cyber readiness program including tabletop exercises, playbooks, and readiness assessments.
• Provide incident command for high-severity cyber incidents and translate lessons into improved detections and responses.
• Define/report KPIs/KRIs measuring coverage, response, automation, readiness, and risk reduction.
