Escape Velocity is seeking a Character Designer to craft characters that drive gameplay and sit at the heart of our project. You will influence combat mechanics, weapons, and abilities, collaborating with animators and programmers to prototype and implement features.

We value hands-on prototyping, a track record of shipped titles, and strong communication skills as you bring characters to life across a fully remote studio environment.

Competenze

• Experience as a Character Designer on multiple titles for at least 2 years, shipped.
• Passion for third-person combat mechanics and played a wide variety of titles.
• Proven track record of bringing thematically strong characters to life in video games.
• Understanding of strengths, weaknesses and counterplay in character design.
• Enjoy hands-on prototypes.
• Experience with UE5 blueprints to design abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
