Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - II to lead requirements capture for software development teams in a government-focused environment. Remote work is supported for this 100% U.S.

based position with eligibility constraints for certain states. You will collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in ALM tools, manage backlogs, and ensure traceability across user stories, test cases, and risks.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development and SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with JIRA and ALM tools.
• Experience on large Agile projects.
• Federal government or VA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capture of business requirements for software teams.
• Document requirements in ALM tools and manage backlog.
• Conduct user interviews and develop process models.
• Perform SAFe backlog refinement and release planning.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers on solutions.
• Write project documents and manage change control.
