Job summary

Propel is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build Medicare and Medicaid products from the ground up. You will work end-to-end across frontend and backend, creating consumer-grade experiences that help people understand coverage options, surface savings, and enroll in plans.

You’ll collaborate with product and design, shape architecture, and scale integrations with government systems. The role offers a remote-first environment with a Brooklyn HQ and a salary range of $190,000–$230,000

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software.
• Experience in startup environments or operating with ambiguity.
• Fluency in Python and JavaScript or willingness to learn them.

Responsibilities

• Build software systems used by millions of low-income Americans.
• Develop iOS and Android apps using Vue + TypeScript + Capacitor.
• Develop server-side software using Python and Flask with Postgres/Redis; leverage AWS.
• Create reliable, scalable, maintainable software.
• Collaborate with Product/Design and participate in on-call rotations.
