Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Emerging Products team. This backend‑heavy role emphasizes Java/Kotlin with working React/Javascript proficiency to build new products from the ground up.

The role supports remote work within the USA (CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA); hybrid options are available with Austin, TX or Tampa, FL offices. Onsite interviews may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of Java software development for product applications; Kotlin a plus.
• 2+ years of React front-end development; building UI components not a design system owner.
• 4+ years of experience with highly scalable software systems.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development.
• Strong OO design knowledge; scalable data structures.
• Experience with REST APIs; GraphQL or gRPC is a plus.
• Proficient in SQL; relational database design.
• Exposure to distributed/streaming data concepts is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of quality testing practices and frontend testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the API layer powering the product's data experience — REST and/or GraphQL endpoints.
• Java backend development to expose data-driven insights and scoring to the product surface.
• Build and maintain React-based UI components for dashboards and workflows.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews as the product moves from early-stage to GA.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the stack using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Contribute to code reviews and document processes; collaborate across teams.
