Job summary

AssetWatch is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join its cloud-based industrial IoT SaaS platform. You’ll work across frontend and backend, leveraging React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS serverless tech to build new features and improve existing ones.

You will design scalable systems, implement observable solutions, and mentor teammates while contributing to secure, production-grade software. This remote-first role emphasizes collaboration across US locations with flexible work

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering React web applications integrated with databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
• Strong professional experience building production applications in TypeScript and React.
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Practical understanding of secure software development, including authorization, secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency risk, secure cloud development, and responsible handling of AI-assisted code.

Responsibilities

• Develop new cloud application features including from React to AWS API Gateway and Lambda/ECS to database.
• Own technical solutions and feature improvements from design through production.
• Design and implement scalable, observable technical solutions, including technical design documents, implementation plans, migration plans, and architecture decision records that help evolve application architecture and engineering standards.
• Support production systems through monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Support code deployment and continuous integration.
• Build high-quality software through automated testing and thoughtful peer code reviews.
• Mentor other engineers on effective and responsible use of agentic AI tools.
• Help improve SDLC through tooling, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate across teams to solve problems and maintain clear API, event, and data contracts.
• Continuously improve engineering best practices, coding standards, and shared technical patterns.
• Use agentic AI tools to accelerate planning, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation while exercising sound judgment.
