Job summary

PLOS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to translate complex financial data into actionable insights, lead budgeting and forecasting, and partner with teams across the organization. This fully remote role supports US and UK candidates and emphasizes data integrity and clear financial communication.

The position requires expert Excel, GAAP understanding, and experience with planning systems. Flexibility for travel and a proactive, self-starting approach are valued traits for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 4–7 years of progressive FP&A, finance, or accounting experience
• Experience presenting financials to non-financial stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial dashboards and commentary for executive leadership and stakeholders
• Drive budgeting and forecasts
• Build and maintain financial models and support scenario planning
• Ensure the highest level of accuracy and data integrity in all reports, dashboards, and commentaries
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather and validate financial and operational information supporting budgets, forecasts, and management reporting
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed
• FP&A principles – understanding of budgeting, rolling forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
• Accounting literacy – GAAP and general ledger structures
