Job summary

PLOS is a nonprofit, Open Access publisher empowering researchers to accelerate progress in science and medicine. The Senior Financial Analyst will interpret, translate, and communicate complex financial data to internal stakeholders, driving annual budgets and forecasts while partnering with teams across the organization.

The role requires strong Excel skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience with budgeting systems (Netsuite Planning and Budgeting, Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• “4–7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, or Accounting” appears in the role description.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial dashboards and commentary for executive leadership.
• Drive budgeting processes and forecasts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Build and maintain financial models and support scenario planning.
• Partner with stakeholders to validate financial and operational information for budgets and reports.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
