Job summary

Public Library of Science (PLOS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. You will translate complex data for internal stakeholders, build financial models, and partner with teams across the organization on budgets and management reporting.

Qualified candidates have 4–7 years in FP&A/Finance, strong Excel proficiency, and familiarity with budgeting systems. Remote work is supported with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–7 years in Financial Planning, Analysis, Finance, or Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present clear financial dashboards and commentary for executives and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models and support scenario planning.
• Ensure data integrity in all reports and dashboards.
