Job summary

RRD is seeking a senior accounting/finance leader to plan, mentor, and align department activities with corporate goals. This remote role prefers candidates in the Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL area.

You will supervise accounting staff, drive process improvements, manage budgets, and ensure GAAP compliance, tax planning, and SOX controls. A Bachelor’s in business/finance and MBA are desirable; CPA or CIA certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires 9 years of functional work experience in a corporate Accounting/Finance capacity engaged activities related to one or more of the following: general accounting, cost accounting, tax, financial analysis, or financial audits.
• Must have at least 2+ years supervisory experience managing a team of accounting or finance associates.
• Certification or working towards certification for CPA, CIA, or equivalent is encouraged.
• Must be able to apply knowledge of one or more of the following in completing daily assignments: GAAP, FAS, Tax regulations (domestic and/or international), Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or an equivalent number of years experience in a related capacity in accounting/finance.
• MBA or graduate level work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clarify the business plan by formulating specific department goals that are in alignment with corporate accounting and finance goals.
• Establish goals and priorities for staff that are consistent with departmental objectives.
• Review accomplishments and direct progress toward goals.
• Coach and monitor staff in continuous performance, improvement, and development.
• Make salary recommendations.
