Del Oro Consulting, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Financial Controls Analyst to strengthen a complex controls environment. This remote US role partners with finance stakeholders to evaluate processes, assess risk, and drive remediation.

The candidate should bring extensive experience in financial controls, internal audit, accounting, or compliance. The assignment is 6 months with a strong extension potential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial controls, internal audit, accounting, financial compliance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of internal control principles and financial reporting risks.
• Experience evaluating end-to-end business processes and assessing control effectiveness.
• Experience identifying control deficiencies, assessing risk, and supporting remediation.
• Ability to work independently in a complex environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business processes and internal controls to identify financial risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Assess effectiveness of existing controls and recommend enhancements.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate risks and develop control strategies and remediation plans.
• Review changes to processes and systems for impacts on the control environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to processes, risks, controls, and remediation.
• Coordinate control reviews, testing activities, and compliance requirements.
• Identify control deficiencies and support root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Track remediation activities and ensure issues are addressed within timelines.
• Support internal and external audit activities and respond to information requests.
• Prepare reporting on risks, controls, compliance activities, and remediation.
