Job summary

AccountingDepartment.com is seeking a Senior Controller to lead a team of 6–10 while delivering outsourced controllership and advisory services to clients.

The role oversees budgets, forecasts, analytics, and KPI development, guiding strategic decisions in a fast-moving virtual environment. You will report to an Assistant Director and drive best-in-class financial operations for multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Outsourced accounting experience with mid-market clients.
• 10 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead a team while delivering strategic advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting team for assigned clients. Motivate staff to provide best-in-class service.
• Develop understanding of each client's business and accounting needs; provide strategic leadership for scalable operations.
• Manage month-end closing and issue financial reports for all clients each month.
• Partner with client leadership on operational and strategic decisions; address accounting requests and delegate actions.
