Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Financial and Budget Analyst to support DHS ICE budget formulation, execution, and analytics in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on strategic planning, data analysis, dashboard development, and government taskings to deliver timely financial insights.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in dynamic delivery environments, with preferred DHS/government experience and strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 10+ years in dynamic customer delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and portfolio management to stakeholders.
• Participate in budget formulation and execution processes.
• Provide briefings and guidance to senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop financial management data, analyses and recommendations.
• Capture budget requirements and lead resolution activities.
• Develop and deliver supporting documents (papers, risk assessments).
• Analyze candidate projects for justification and business value.
• Assist in Multi-Year Planning activities.
• Coordinate Budget Formulation exercises.
• Develop leadership briefings for budget issues and risks.
• Monitor year budget execution and obligating funds on time.
• Lead budgetary analysis and responses to budget alignment.
• Collaborate with team on changes in requirements and solutions.
• Translate complex issues into clear narratives for stakeholders.
• Prepare visualizations and presentations using PowerPoint.
