Job summary

The California Dental Association (CDA) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Operations to act as a finance partner for regulatory and compliance activities. The role focuses on timely financial reporting, licensing and filings, and coordination with external vendors and regulators.

Remote-first work environment with a Pacific Time Zone requirement. The position emphasizes collaboration across finance, operations, underwriting and claims to ensure accurate analysis of insurance reserves

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum four years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficient in data extraction/reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills including arrays, VLOOKUP, pivot tables.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory reporting activities for quarterly and annual statements.
• Coordinate with third parties for treasury and investments reporting.
• Ensure compliance with California Dept. of Insurance and NAIC rules.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, sales, finance and external vendors.
• Oversee regulatory examination planning and compliance calendar.
