The California Dental Association is seeking a Corporate Counsel to protect the organization’s legal interests and advise the Chief Legal Officer on regulatory matters for CDA and related entities. This is an essential in-house role supporting multiple lines of business across several states.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required with bar admission in at least one state.
• Strong legal analysis and ability to deliver clear responses to complex questions.
• Excellent research and drafting abilities for contracts, memos and regulatory filings.
• Familiarity with insurance law and compliance in multi-state contexts.

Responsibilities

• Advises on legal, legislative, governance and regulatory matters for CDA and TDIC entities.
• Interprets laws, rulings and regulations to provide actionable guidance for rapid business decisions.
• Manages external counsel for specialized areas and litigation as needed.
• Supports development of policy forms, underwriting guidelines and regulatory filings.
