Job summary

The California Dental Association seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Operations to act as a finance partner for TDIC, ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence for the California Department of Insurance and other agencies. You'll prepare quarterly/annual financial reports, assist with filings, and manage loss reserves analysis, reinsurance, and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of four years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to administer reporting for enterprise system data, including GL, budgets, and BI interfaces.
• Proficient in data extraction/reporting.
• Advanced Excel (arrays, vlookup, pivot tables, charts).
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory reporting activities including annual and quarterly statements for insurance compliance and state filings.
• Coordinate with external vendor teams for treasury, investments, and statutory deposits.
• Ensure compliance with state and NAIC reporting requirements and advise on new business guidance.
• Coordinate with external actuaries to respond to data requests and support actuarial analyses.
• Oversee regulatory compliance calendar and lead the Department of Insurance examinations.
• Administer compliance software and drive efficiencies in filings.
