Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial/Production Accountant for a 3+ month contract, remote but PST hours. You will oversee production accounting, close processes, and external provider coordination. This role contributes to US GAAP-compliant statements and quarterly/year-end closes.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, footnotes, and month-end cost roll forwards across production units, with collaboration across Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business partners for accounting inquiries; provide technical accounting guidance for new initiatives.
• Provide accounting support and guidance to third-party service providers.
• Review and analyze financial statements for studio production and distribution units for accuracy.
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet and income statement variances.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reporting deliverables and footnotes.
• Prepare monthly development and production spending packages with variance explanations.
• Prepare monthly production cost roll forwards across business areas.
• Prepare quarterly overhead/interest forecasts.
• Review estimated film costs (EFCs) and variance analyses quarterly.
• Record monthly distribution cash statements and quarterly accruals.
• Manage ad-hoc reports and projects for Senior Management.
• Submit requests related to SOX compliance, tax, and audits.
