Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance based in the United States. This role guides financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across a global digital subscription and advertising business in a remote-first environment.

You will partner with senior leaders to turn financial data into actionable insights, build models, manage risks, and drive growth. You will also collaborate on month-end close, reporting, and board communications while mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategic finance.
• Strong FP&A expertise including budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to build financial models and conduct scenario analyses.
• Experience partnering with leaders to translate results into actionable guidance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex data clearly.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote-first, tech-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and long-range financial planning for global subscription and ad business.
• Develop monthly forecasts, analyze variances, and assess risks and opportunities.
• Monitor spend against budgets and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide financial guidance and strategic insights.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate opportunities.
• Support month-end close, reporting, and board presentations.
• Design tools and processes to improve forecasting accuracy and scalability.
• Mentor junior finance staff and foster high-performance partnership.
