Job summary

Zen Sherpa LLC is seeking an experienced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Analyst to support advanced engineering simulations for heavy equipment and high-capacity structures. The role emphasizes structural mechanics, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership across multiple industries.

The position is fully remote within the USA with occasional travel to fabrication shops or field sites, and requires travel up to ~10% annually.

Qualifications

• BSME or MSME with extensive FEA experience in heavy equipment.
• 10+ years mechanical engineering experience in cranes, lifting systems, or heavy machinery.
• Advanced FEA experience; ANSYS preferred.
• Strong background in structural mechanics, weldments, and load-bearing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA simulations (linear, nonlinear, contact, buckling, fatigue, large-deflection) using ANSYS or similar.
• Analyze crane structures, lifting beams, rigging components, and heavy mechanical systems.
