Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Problem Author to contribute to advancing AI systems in engineering. You will create and evaluate challenging, real-world problems and assess AI-generated solutions for rigor, accuracy, and practical relevance.

Your engineering judgment will guide problem statements, assumptions, and contexts, and you will provide structured feedback to improve AI reasoning.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on engineering experience.
• Professional-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design, and related disciplines.
• Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting, and failure scenarios as well as theoretical problem contexts.
• Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements, assumptions, and conditions.
• Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations, and design judgment.
• Provide structured written feedback and clear explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.
• Collaborate remotely with technical experts and project participants to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Document technical insights, identified weaknesses, and recommendations to support continuous improvement of AI models and problem sets.
