YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Engineering Technical Problem Authors to create and evaluate challenging real‑world problems and assess AI‑generated engineering responses for accuracy, rigor, and relevance. Your engineering knowledge will help AI systems reason through complex problems and communicate technically sound solutions.

No prior AI experience is required—domain expertise and technical judgment matter most.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical engineering knowledge across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design and related disciplines.
• 5+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience; preference for Aerodynamics, Circuit Design, and Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience creating technically rigorous problems via academic exams, engineering competitions, licensure exams, standards committees, or technical assessment programs.
• Proven track record in technical publications, patents, awards, or recognized engineering expertise.
• Professional-level English with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design and related disciplines.
• Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting and failure scenarios.
• Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements and conditions.
• Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations and design judgment.
• Provide structured written feedback and explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.
• Collaborate remotely with technical experts to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Document technical insights and recommendations to support AI model improvement.
