Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Problem Author to contribute to AI systems in engineering. You will create and evaluate challenging technical problems and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.

This is a remote contractor role with fast onboarding and flexible collaboration with experts. Strong domain expertise in mechanical engineering and related disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience.
• Experience creating technically rigorous problems.
• Experience with technical publications, patents, or awards.
• Professional-level English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, CAD software, CFD/FEA, and related tools.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, and related disciplines.
• Review AI-generated responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, and practicality.
• Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, and failure scenarios.
• Analyze complex issues, identify ambiguities, and suggest clarifications.
• Develop rigorous problems testing analytical reasoning and design judgment.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI reasoning.
• Collaborate remotely with technical experts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Document insights and recommendations to improve AI models and problem sets.
