CVS Health is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager of Digital Engineering to lead back-end teams building scalable digital services for our members, migrating data to the cloud, and incorporating AI and agentic technologies to improve experiences.

You will mentor engineering professionals, shape roadmaps with business partners, and drive delivery excellence in a fast-paced environment across hybrid or remote locations in the continental United States.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience with enterprise-scale solutions and cloud technologies.
3+ years leading large cross-functional initiatives including micro-services and event-driven architectures.
2+ years of Agile/Scrum experience.
Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Own the technical vision for product and platform capabilities; guide architectural decisions across distributed systems.
Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams; coach managers on effective leadership practices.
Drive execution through clear goal-setting, accountability, and continuous improvement of team velocity and quality.
Collaborate with product, design, architecture, and operations to align engineering work with business priorities.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies—particularly cloud services and AI—to enhance member experiences and operational efficiency.
Monitor team health, remove blockers, and resolve workflow impediments proactively.
