Key Capture Energy is seeking a Market Operations Senior Analyst to join a remote team. You will apply quantitative methods, optimization, and programming to hedge physical and financial energy products and optimize dispatch for the battery energy storage system fleet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in energy analytics or energy operations.
• Experience with hedging or trading in power markets is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain algorithmic hedging strategies for BESS operations.
• Lead automated bidding/trading strategies using Python and SQL to improve PNL.
• Support day-to-day asset management including bid submission and on-call duties.
• Improve price forecasts and hedging models; develop new models to boost P&L.
• Analyze large datasets in MS SQL Server and support analytics infrastructure.
• Create Power BI dashboards to transform data into actionable market insights.
