Job summary

Key Capture Energy is seeking a Market Operations Analyst to support battery energy storage system dispatch optimization and trading strategy performance. This remote, full-time role reports to the Senior Manager of Market Analysis and focuses on analyzing market conditions, building models, and contributing to real-time operations.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years in energy analytics, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and exposure to programming languages (Python, SQL, R, MATLAB) with experience

Qualifications

0-2 years of energy industry or analytical experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, economics, computer science, chemistry, physics, finance, business required.
Interest in clean energy and power markets.

Responsibilities

Build understanding of daily energy market operations in different jurisdictions.
Monitor real-time market conditions, asset availability, and strategy performance.
Support bid submission and code debugging for day-to-day assets management.
Improve price forecasts and ingest into bidding models; develop and assess new models.
Design, build, and validate automated power market bidding/trading strategies using Python and SQL.
Create PowerBI dashboards and analytical reports.
