Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate cloud-based CI/CD platforms and embedded software workflows. You will build scalable Bazel-based builds and co-simulation test execution within modern cloud environments.

You will collaborate across engineering, test, IT operations, and cybersecurity to optimize delivery, ensure security, and drive continuous improvement in automated builds and tests for GM’s embedded software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/Software/Electrical or related field.
• 5–7 years in software tools, platform, or infrastructure with DevOps/CI‑CD focus.
• Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Hands-on with Azure or AWS and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and at least one of C/C++/Java.
• Experience with embedded software tools, build processes, and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software production.
• Architect and operate cloud-based platforms hosting build, test, and virtualization capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement build, test, and deployment automation.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Integrate pipelines with physical and virtual test environments for automated tests.
