Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to own EDI workflows, data validation, and partner integrations. The role emphasizes EDIFECS tools, AWS cloud experience, and strong ability to troubleshoot complex EDI transaction sets in a 100% remote US-based environment.

Candidates should have 8+ years in EDI/healthcare or enterprise apps, with UNIX/Linux familiarity, SQL queries, and experience guiding business stakeholders through technical decisions. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with Edifecs XEngine validation results and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of payer/provider workflows and SNIP validations
• Experience with HIPAA/compliance requirements in cloud data architectures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and JIRA

Responsibilities

• Own functional EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules
• Interpret and troubleshoot transaction sets (270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA)
• Document mapping and integration changes for new partners
• Coordinate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business stakeholders
• Work with AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows; validate data with non-X.12 partners

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience considered
