Job summary

GiveWell is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Advisor to manage and advise a portfolio of our largest donors. You will shape donor relationship strategy, lead initiatives, and influence the growth of our philanthropy team.

You will work with senior leadership, translating research into donor-facing content and guiding high-stakes decisions. Remote US role with strong compensation and flexible options.

Qualifications

• Proven track record earning trust with discerning analytic donors and stakeholders.
• Exceptional relationship management with advisory mindset and broad context.
• Strong communication, able to tailor messaging for high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities

• Build long‑term, trust‑based relationships with major donors that deepen donors’ understanding of GiveWell’s work.
• Proactively identify insights, data points, and narratives from GiveWell’s research relevant to major donor decision‑making.
• Drive and lead team-wide initiatives and significant projects to make our work accessible, from learning journey design, playbooks, and systems to donor events and donor communications.
• Translate GiveWell’s research into donor-facing content that is accessible to analytic major donors.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to GiveWell’s leadership.
• Drive improvements to our philanthropy culture, systems, and processes to scale the function.
