Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Director, Program Delivery to lead delivery execution across a broad portfolio of VA technology modernization and transformation initiatives. This role is fully remote within the United States and reports to the Portfolio Operations leadership to ensure integrated delivery and governance across programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in federal technology delivery or program management, with 5+ years supporting VA, and proven success leading 50+ staff in geographically

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in either technical or business-related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in federal technology delivery or program management.
• 5+ years supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or VA's Digital Transformation Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery across a large portfolio of VA programs (30+).
• Develop program leaders, establish accountability and escalation paths.
• Maintain visibility into delivery performance, staffing, milestones, and risks.
• Build governance, performance measures, and operating rhythms across programs.
• Identify and resolve delivery, staffing, quality, and contractual risks.
• Engage with VA stakeholders at an executive level and scale new work.
