Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Director, Underwriting & Portfolio Management to lead enterprise underwriting and portfolio management across products and geographies, with a strong focus on risk oversight, profitability, and governance. The leader will partner with cross-functional teams to shape pricing discipline and eligibility frameworks.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only. Compensation: $137,000 – $210,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• 7 years of progressive experience in underwriting, portfolio management, product management, risk management, actuarial, or related insurance disciplines.
• 4+ years of relevant leadership experience.
• Experience managing portfolio performance and profitability across multiple products, programs, markets, or distribution channels.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise portfolio risk management and performance oversight across multiple products and geographies.
• Direct underwriting strategy execution and governance, ensuring consistent application of pricing and eligibility frameworks.
• Provide thought leadership in analytical integration, overseeing development of models and forecasts.
• Shape product strategy through cross-functional leadership, influencing product design and optimization.
• Drive operational excellence by establishing scalable processes and governance frameworks.
