Job summary

Protective Asset Protection is seeking a Senior Director, Underwriting to drive underwriting excellence, portfolio performance, and risk governance across multiple products and geographies. You will partner with Product, Actuarial, Finance, Sales, and Operations to align risk appetite with growth objectives, using advanced analytics to inform decisions and benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• 7 years of progressive experience in underwriting, portfolio management, product management, risk management, actuarial, or related insurance disciplines.
• 4+ years leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience managing portfolio performance and profitability across multiple products, programs, markets, or channels.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategy and execution.
• Proven use of analytics and performance metrics to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Leads enterprise portfolio risk management and performance oversight across products, channels, and geographies.
• Directs underwriting strategy execution, pricing governance, and exception frameworks.
• Oversees models, forecasts, and simulations to guide reserving, pricing, and risk mitigation.
• Shapes product strategy through cross-functional leadership with Product and Actuarial teams.
• Drives operational excellence, scalable processes, and executive-level reporting.
