Job summary

Corebridge Financial is seeking a Director, Life Underwriting to accurately assess medical and financial risk while supporting sales. You will lead complex underwriting of life applications, collaborate with case managers and wholesalers, and maintain high customer-centric service.

This remote role reports to the Managing Underwriting Director and requires 5+ years of life underwriting, authority to approve up to $7,000,000, and professional designations such as FLMI/FALU/CLU preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with larger face amount cases.
• Approval authority up to $7,000,000.
• Designations preferred or progress toward FLMI/FALU/CLU.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal and informal applications with independent action within guidelines.
• Interpret complex information to make medical and financial risk assessments.
• Manage change, negotiate outcomes, and maintain organization with large caseloads.
• Provide training to internal and external customers on underwriting topics.
• Interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with an upscale market.
