Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a Senior Director of Product Development to own on-time delivery of the product roadmap across Satellite, Streaming Managed Hardware (Gemini), and BYOD platforms (Roku, Tizen, FireTV, Android, Apple, LG, Vizio). You will lead a multi-Director, vendor-heavy team and manage a multi-million-dollar engineering budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years product development experience in a large, matrixed tech/media organization.
• 4+ years’ experience as software engineer/developer with delivery accountability.
• Track record in vendor and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product delivery across Satellite, Gemini, and BYOD platforms as the single accountability for on-time roadmap execution.
• Serve as the delivery escalation authority for product and platform roadmaps, partnering with VP/AVP Engineering leaders.
• Lead a manager-of-managers organization including Directors and product owners, with vendor/contingent resources.
• Direct delivery of a high-volume roadmap across multiple Program Increments and KPI governance.
• Manage multi-million-dollar engineering budget and monitor vendor/contingent budgets quarterly.
