Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Business Development professional for our national operations, with focus on executive-level client relationships and growth opportunities. This role can sit remotely within the United States and demands extensive logistics and consultative sales experience.

You will lead strategic initiatives, develop value propositions for outsourced services, and drive revenue, profitability, and pipeline targets while coordinating cross-functional resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years logistics industry experience required.
• 5+ years consultative sales/business development experience required.
• 5+ years dedicated/shared delivery experience preferred.
• 5+ years P&L/service responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage executive-level customer relationships for profitability and growth, and develop new business opportunities outside of existing customer base.
• Establish client specific value propositions for outsourced services, performance against stated objectives, business growth, and business consultancy.
• Identify profitable business ventures for pursuit.
• Engage additional company resources in the pursuit of business.
• Negotiate business terms within the context of contract templates.
• Develop/meet all specified revenue and pipeline goals.
• Utilize strong customer satisfaction skills
• Meet all gross profit margin measurements
• Manage a team a business development professionals to help meet company growth/profit targets
