Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Risk Management & Construction Risk to lead the enterprise risk framework and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board.

This remote role will drive risk strategy across insurance, surety, and captive/self-insurance initiatives, while partnering with Operations, Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, and Legal. The position requires 15+ years in risk management within EPC/industrial construction and a strong track record in risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, finance, business administration, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive work experience in enterprise risk management, project risk, construction risk, insurance, or operational risk in EPC, industrial construction, energy, or infrastructure.
• Experience managing large-scale insurance and risk financing programs.
• Experience with captive or self-insurance, large deductible programs, or alternative risk financing structures preferred.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and Boards of Directors, and strong knowledge of construction operations and contract risk environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Risk Management framework and provide strategic guidance to executive leadership and the Board.
• Partner with Operations, Preconstruction, Safety, Finance, Legal to integrate risk into project execution and decision-making.
• Develop risk assessments, KRIs, dashboards, and reporting to monitor enterprise risk.
• Oversee insurance programs (general liability, workers' comp, property, cyber, etc.) and renewals.
• Drive alternative risk financing strategies, including captive/self-insurance and risk-retained programs.
• Manage surety bonding strategy, capacity, and reporting.
• Oversee claims management, loss prevention, and risk transfer in contracts.
• Mentor and develop Risk Management team and drive cross-functional collaboration.
