Job summary

Afton Partners seeks a Senior Director to lead large strategic planning and systems design engagements with Early Childhood clients across the country. Senior Directors own delivery from shaping the initial problem to producing a final plan clients adopt and implement.

You’ll advise senior public officials, foundation leaders, and community leaders; structure ambiguous problems; guide stakeholder engagement; build a compelling case for action; and move diverse stakeholders to a shared path

Qualifications

• Ten years leading client engagements or major strategic initiatives.
• Five years leading teams and developing staff.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder strategy projects from design to adoption.
• Strong problem-structuring, analytical judgment, and storytelling to senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, multi-workstream engagements from design to adoption.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior officials and funders.
• Design problem statements, work plans, and decision-support tools.
• Manage scope, staffing, and budget while maintaining timelines.
• Develop and mentor Directors, Managers, and Associates.
