Capital One is seeking a Sr. Director, AI Engineer to lead AI foundational systems. You will guide cross-functional teams, architect scalable AI platforms, and drive enterprise AI strategy with strong emphasis on responsible AI practices.

This role offers remote or hybrid work arrangements and reports to the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team. The ideal candidate will have a deep foundation in engineering and math, extensive leadership experience, and a track record of building

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus at least 10 years of AI/ML experience.
• At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
• 8+ years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.

Mansioni

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support AI software components.
• Make build-vs-buy decisions across Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent optimization techniques to improve performance, cost, latency, throughput.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
• Attract and retain top AI talent and foster professional development.
• Define and drive enterprise-wide AI strategy aligned with ethical principles.
• Establish multi-year roadmap for scalable, reliable AI systems across the enterprise.
