UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Director Actuarial Services to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership on strategic initiatives in Part D pricing and model development. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with existing Part D team and build actuarial Part D pricing models and methodologies
• Lead actuarial analysis and services in support of model and assumption study buildouts and maintenance
• Leverage experience and creative solutions to enhance current processes and develop brand new processes and models
• Review results from pricing models and test sensitivity
• Evaluate impacts of strategic benefit changes and legislative reforms
• Participate in the Part D bid submission process
• Manage the workload and career development of a small staff of actuarial analysts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation
• 8+ years of actuarial experience
• Experience with Part D pricing or forecasting
• Experience using models that involve large datasets
• Advanced or higher level of proficiency in MS Excel
• Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or other programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building models using SAS, SQL, Python, or other programming languages

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $159,300 - $273,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
