Job summary

Prime Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director of Actuarial Forecasting to lead a team of actuaries and drive strategic pricing direction for clients and Prime’s products. The role interfaces with Finance and other functions on cost, pricing, and forecasting assumptions, shaping pricing strategy for multiple lines of business.

The ideal candidate holds ASA or FSA designation, 10+ years in actuarial work (5+ in healthcare/PBM), and 7+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• 10 years actuarial work experience, 5 in healthcare/PBM
• 7 years of leadership experience
• Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of actuaries to provide strategic pricing advice on structures and methodology using market research, financial projections, and complex actuarial modeling
• Collaborates with underwriters, client engagement, and senior leadership on RFPs and pricing/risk initiatives across lines of business
• Engages with leadership to develop forecasting assumptions related to utilization, unit cost, benefit design, and regulatory events
• Develops processes to ensure scalability and control of work following actuarial standards of practice
• Leads negotiations and presentations, translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Manage department budget, staffing, performance and development, and uphold leadership expectations
