RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and enhance our database systems, both on‑premise and in the cloud, across Azure services. You will design objects, tune performance, and drive data excellence within a fast‑moving regulatory tech team.

You will collaborate with Architecture, QA, Dev, and Infra to implement scalable solutions, address incidents, and optimize data workflows. A strong Azure/SQL background is essential for success.

Qualificações

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL Server 2016 and higher.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based databases in Azure using Managed Instance, Azure SQL Hyperscale, Azure SQL DB, and VMs.
• Experience writing complex database procedures, functions and triggers.
• Understanding of execution plans, system views, and dynamic SQL.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices.
• Proven ability to optimize performance for OLTP/OLAP.
• Experience with SQL Server HADR technologies (Always On, log shipping, backup/recovery).
• Experience with monitoring platforms and dashboards (SSMS, Grafana, PowerBI).
• Experience with SSIS or other ETL tooling; SSRS or managed reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL; familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics.

Responsabilidades

• Design, create, and maintain database objects across on‑prem and cloud databases.
• Recommend database approaches to architecture and applications staff.
• Drive innovation with newer data technologies.
• Establish coding standards with Architecture for stored procedures, triggers, and schema design.
• Review and approve complex structural changes to the database.
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents and escalations.
• Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerts and dashboards.
• Support security and compliance with encryption and data masking.
• Advise on data retention, tiering, and archiving strategies.
