Job summary

Camunda is expanding its Data Streaming team to build a durable, continuously-written streaming layer that decouples data access from the engine. The role focuses on architecting the streaming stack, enabling customers to stream their process data into their tools, and shaping analytics products built on top of the data layer.

You will work closely with product management, data layer, and distributed systems teams to deliver scalable streaming infrastructure and data products in a remote-first

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with distributed or data-intensive systems.
• Experience with object storage systems (S3/GCS/Azure or similar) and reliable upload/commit protocols.
• Experience with Kafka or a similar streaming/event-log system.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core streaming infrastructure decoupling process data access from the live execution engine, with durable storage.
• Build customer-facing data streaming capabilities and integration with systems like Kafka.
• Help rebuild Camunda's analytics product to consume and serve process data at scale.
• Make foundational architecture decisions on a high-ownership, small team.
