Job summary

Camunda is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Data Streaming team. You will help build a durable streaming layer and analytics surface that decouples data access from the live engine, influencing architecture and product direction from day one.

You will work with product, Data Layer, and SRE, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery and contributing to a scalable, safety-focused streaming platform for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Strong focus on distributed/data-intensive systems.
• Experience with Kafka and object storage in production.
• Proven track record leading medium-to-large engineering initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration in remote-first environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core streaming infrastructure decoupling data access from the engine.
• Develop customer-facing data streaming capabilities with Kafka integration.
• Help evolve analytics product to consume/process data at scale.
• Make foundational architecture decisions for a high-ownership team.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident learning.
