Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain DLP/DSPM infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will work with tools like Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, and will script in Python and PowerShell to improve deployment efficiency.

Collaborating with senior engineers, you will troubleshoot incidents, tune data protection policies, and help advance company data protection standards and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and maintaining DLP and data protection policies.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL.
• Hands-on engineering across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Ability to configure sensitive information types and tune detection parameters.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Design and implement DLP, DSPM, and data de‑identification solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on projects and documentation.
