Job summary

Ladders is partnering with a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech leader to hire a Sr. Manager, Data Governance for a remote role in the United States.

You will lead a team of data analysts and stewards, embedding governance standards in day-to-day processes and driving data quality, metadata management, and operational consistency. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and change management skills with a focus on measurable governance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proven experience in data governance or data management programs.
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles, including data quality and metadata management.
• Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Demonstrated communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data analysts and stewards supporting data governance implementation.
• Implement and maintain the data enablement framework, including policies and procedures.
• Operationalize data governance capabilities across multiple business domains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed governance practices into operations.
• Align data analysts with business domains to provide subject-matter expertise.
• Guide the identification and remediation of data quality issues.
• Define and monitor metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
